A LUK Clutch Kit can be used on Chevrolet Cavaliers of model years '00, '01 and '02. In vehicles using an automatic transmission, your Clutch Kit is integrated into the transmission system, while manual transmissions call for the motorist to engage a clutch themselves, normally through a pedal near your brake pedal. Clutch Kites allow a driver to select a new gear by unhooking the car or truck's transmission from the motor. Generally a vehicle clutch is a resilient part, over time the friction-bearing elements can stop functioning and will need a new part. A working Clutch Kit helps the driver switch gears with the engine flywheel and a clutch plate; as the clutch pedal is engaged, the flywheel and clutch plate separate, disconnecting the vehicle's motor from the drive train and allowing the engine to rotate without turning the wheels.
