Description

When the window switch is toggled, a tiny motor inside the car doors activates the Dorman window regulator custom fitted to the Ford Contour produced from 1995 to 2000. The regulator is made of plastic with moveable parts that can become damaged or fail. It initiates operations when the window motor sends 12-volt electricity to its coils that offer resistance adjusting the voltage in steps down to four volts. Each step corresponds to a gear movement of the pulley. Drivers maintain the part for the power windows to work properly or replace it with a Dorman part for peak operation.
